We were consulted and included in all decisions. The team was timely and very considerate. The landscaping and clean up after the work was complete was an added bonus. Ben was such a great partner in a recent project on my farm. I was placing a pre-built shed for adaptation to a chicken coop. Ben came out and walked the property with me. He listened carefully to what was important to me and what I was trying to accomplish. He made suggestions and helped me make the best decision for the project. He then completed the pad for the shed to go on, ensuring it was level and would have proper drainage. Ben went out of his way to ensure the project was exactly as I had envisioned going above and beyond on little details.

Soil Friends' work is wonderful. They have installed a beautiful patio and retaining wall for new garden beds. Additionally, they have put all gutter/downspouts into drainage systems to route water from the house and most importantly, the basement. We had Soil Friends do two projects for us recently. First they removed a river rock filled garden in the back yard, hardscaping the area, removing the rock and the top layer of hard soil. They installed a retaining wall and filling it with new top soil. Bob's attention to detail made for well built and beautiful retaining wall.
The second project involved hardscaping an area where several pine trees had stood and building a mounded area for future trees and bushes. Ben kept us informed every step of the process. We highly recommend Soil Friends for any landscaping project.

Ben from Soil Friends Excavating put in 2 field stone bouder walls in our front yard plus they removed old landscaping shrubs that were not doing well due to being placed in a shady area & they required sun. They installed appropriate shubs for shade & installing landscaping cloth & mulch. They also brought in new soil for the side of the yard & seeded the entire side & front yard. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Very experienced workers that were very friendly. On a scale of 1 to 5, we would give them a 5 stars. They did a fantastic job. We highly recommend them.
